Privacy policy

Overview

Cahoots is a private shared entertainment app. It does not stream television or movies. In cloud mode, it uses an account to provide private Circle membership, personal watch history, shared Lineups, plans, votes, reminders, and activity across supported devices.

Account information

Cloud preview accounts use an email address and authentication records to create and recover a session. Profile information and active Circle relationships are visible only where needed for the account owner and people connected through an active Circle.

Personal and Circle data

Cahoots stores personal episode and movie history, Circle membership, shared Lineups, participation, viewing agreements, movie responses, watch plans, reminders, reactions, and spoiler-safe activity. Personal history belongs to the person; Circle decisions belong to the Circle.

Entertainment catalog

Cahoots may retrieve title metadata from entertainment-catalog providers through server-side services. Search requests and selected titles are used to find and import the show, movie, season, episode, release, and provider information needed by the product.

Local demo mode

Demo mode uses fictional data and stores interactive changes locally on the device or browser. Resetting demo data or clearing local app storage removes those changes.

Service providers

The cloud preview uses Supabase infrastructure for authentication, database, realtime updates, and server-side functions. Catalog providers may process limited search requests through those server-side functions. Final provider and regional disclosures will be confirmed before publication.

Your choices

You can use local demo mode without a cloud account. Cloud users can leave eligible Circles, manage supported reminders, and contact Arydian Labs about access or deletion. Some shared records may need to be retained or adjusted to protect other Circle members and legitimate operational obligations.

Children’s privacy

Cahoots is not directed to children. Arydian Labs will review the intended audience, age requirements, and store disclosures before public release.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Cahoots and its supporting services develop. The effective date will be updated when a reviewed policy is published.
